LA’s Stoke Signals make dying fun with their debut LP Make Dying Fun. It’s a combo of melodic, gruff, and a bit of that arena-style of pop-punk that was all the rage in the 2000s. It’s really fun. The bass and drums are nice and strong and that’s almost always a winner in my book.
They’ve also got a slew of shows over the next two months in and around the greater Los Angeles metro area. Find details and links to those below.

the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
