LA ska-punks Matamoska! jump on the Bad Time Records train for the release of their new LP. Self-titled, it will be their fourth full-length, and their first new album since 2017’s Skalluminati (their 2023 M Is For Murder! special edition re-release notwithstanding). The album is due out 17 May 2024.
With that news they’ve also released the first single and video, “Ska Show.” Lovingly presented in VHS-quality, the video features live footage from the ska show where, guess what? Everyone is stupidly happy. Those who knock ska have no joy in their hearts. There, I said it.
Preorders for the album are up at the Matamoska! Bandcamp, where you can also find more of their music. You can also stream over at Spotify.
Matamoska! also have a couple of dates lined up in the coming months, including SPI Fest in May. Find info and links for those underneath the video.
