Canadian “mostly queer, sometimes political” act Mean Bikini have a new album coming out in a little over a week. Titled This Ain’t Gonna End Well… it is their third LP, and follows 2023’s Calculated Risks. Although this is LP 3, as the band explains it:
Though technically our third release, this album feels
like our first in many ways. It is a celebration of not only
everything we have achieved in the past three years, but it’s
also the foundation of everything we look forward to in the
years to come. Both this album and Mean Bikini as a whole
wouldn’t be possible without the love and support our fans
and friends.
The album is due out 03 April 2025, and Mean Bikini are making it available to preorder as a name-your-price download, as well as vinyl over at Bandcamp.
With this announcement they’ve released the first single from the LP, “Dissociate,” which you can hear below. Mean Bikini also has their previous music up on Spotify but, as of this post, the new single is not there.

the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
