Long-running alt/indie rock act Mercury Rev (literally 35 now) will be releasing their twelfth studio LP Born Horses this coming September. The album is due out 04 Sep 2024 via Bella Union.
They’ve released the first single from the album “Patterns” and, well, if you were hoping for a more clear indication of what to expect after five years since their last LP, you may be surprised. “Patterns” is more of a music interlude with spoken, or more like whispered, verses. What does this mean? We’ll just have to wait and find out.
