Ahead of their two-night Valentine’s Gay event at 924 Gilman in Oakland (14 Feb) and Cafe Colonial in Sacramento (15 Feb), Oakland, CA’s Middle-Aged Queers have a new cover of the classic Mazzy Star song “Fade Into You.” Of course, this is MAQ, so they’re going to punk it up quite a bit, bringing the 4m21s run time down to a manageable 2m57s. What I didn’t expect is the long fade out to be, possibly(?), even longer than the original?
The track is their newest release since last year’s Theatre of Shame LP. That album is available to purchase now on multiple vinyl variants over at the Sell The Heart shop, as well as CD or digital download, over at the MAQ Bandcamp. There’s also their link page to lead you to all things MAQ.
You can find details and ticket links for the Valentine’s Gay shows, as well as MAQ’s trip to this year’s Pouzza Fest, below the stream.
