California queer core supergroup Middle-Aged Queers (feat. ex-members of Fang, Yaphet Kotto,
Bread and Circuits, The Cost, and more) have released a new video for “Satanic Mills.” The track is off of their just-released digital/7″ Gary’s Satanic Mill, which dropped 03 Sep 2021 via Wingnut Records.
It will also appear on the just-announced sophomore LP Shout At The Hetero, which is currently slated for release in 2022 via Say-10 Records.
I would try to describe the video, but the band has already done that for us:
This song was written in April of 2020, as all our tours were being canceled due to the pandemic; we were supposed to be spreading our queercore gospel to the masses instead of working day jobs in the midst of the apocalypse.
In July of 2021, we filmed an 80’s style music video complete with wigs, glitter, smoke machines, fake leather pants, and booze (fake booze) in an attempt to manifest the success and opulence we are destined to achieve.
If you’ve ever seen any live footage of Mötley Crüe live in their heyday, you’ll find the resemblance in this video to be… uncanny.
Check out the video below, and be sure to visit Middle-Aged Queer’s Bandcamp page for that new 7″, or to hear more from the band.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
