NJ pop-punks Midtown are back, with an upcoming run of reunion shows in 2022.
The four-piece had broken up in 2005, and only performed a handful of one-off reunions since, but have now announced a five-date run opening for My Chemical Romance, another NJ-based outfit who also got their start on Eyeball Records before making a major label jump.
December will also see Midtown take a headliner slot on 2 December at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ.
2022 also marks a significant milestone for the band as they prepare for the 20th anniversary of the release of Living Well Is The Best Revenge in April. Now if only we could get that 20th anniversary reunion of Lords of Semen (IYKYK).
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
