Mikey Erg, of The Ergs!, Worriers, and Doc Hopper (and, it really seems, a million other bands) has released a new solo single today. Bon Voyage is a catchy and energetic four-song EP that is a tribute to pop punk releases of old.
You can check out the track “The New Departure Blues” below. If you like what you hear, go ahead pick up a copy from his Bandcamp page*
You can also order it on vinyl from The Machine Shop (USA) or Stardumb Records (EU), however on April 29th, Stardumb Records posted to Facebook the following message about current issues with copies being sent to the USA for distribution:
Here’s a little heads up to everybody in the US who pre-ordered the Mikey Erg – Bon Voyage EP from The Machine Shop or Stardumb Records or maybe was expecting to get one through Mikey directly:
Due to the current crisis we’re in, overseas shipping is quite a mess right now. The parcels to The Machine Shop and Mikey have been shipped well in time (at least: what USED TO BE well in time), but both parcels haven’t arrived yet. Let’s hope they’ll make it to their destination soon so your copy can be forwarded to you, but at this point please don’t hold your breath!
Sorry about this!
So while any pre-orders are still on their way, it looks like it might be a while until they arrive.
*Today, May 1st, Bandcamp is waiving their fees, so all the money will go to the artist. Take advantage of this!
