Charity compilation The House that Bradley Built has released Milo Aukerman’s version of the classic Descendents track “Hope” a day before the album’s official release.
Bradley Nowell of Sublime lost his battle with addiction in 1996. The Nowell Family Foundation was created in his honor to “provide addiction recovery services to the music community through the combined strength of the industry and those who have been touched by the power of music.”
Proceeds from the record will go to The Nowell Family Foundation to build “Bradley’s House,” an in-patient rehab center to support those in the music industry battling addictions.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
