Colombian pop-punk trio Monkys are next in line for a Misfits cover, this time tackling the Michael Graves-era resurrected Misfits and their track “Resurrection” (see what I did there?). That songs comes off of the 1997 album American Psycho, the first LP of new material released since the band’s 1983 dissolution (and subsequent legal battles).
Each of the covers are collectively under the umbrella of the We’re a Fiend Family comp, which OUTLOUD! is providing for free to all orders in the month of October, and by request with any order thereafter. To hear all of the covers released so far, check out the comp’s landing page on the OUTLOUD! Bandcamp HERE.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
