Featuring 51 songs of acoustic goodness, the N.I. Unplugged compilation, out now, raises money to support North Irish bands and musicians. The huge comp features a whole boatload of great musicians from Northern Ireland, including No Matter, Dylan Bradley (Gas Hands), and more. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the comp will go Help Musicians NI, a segment of the broader Help Musicians UK-based charity.
You can check out The Vals‘ contribution, “The Letter,” below. and hit up Bandcamp for the whole comp. If you want to lend a hand but don’t want to buy the comp (why?), you can donate directly at Help Musicians.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
