New Jersey’s Nervous Triggers have dropped a new single. Titled “Good Run,” the track is harkens back to some of the 80s style of post-punk with political themes, with a mixture of gruff and melodic vocals and, frankly, a great surf-rock keyboard section.
Per a post on social media, the band discusses the provenance of the track:
Y’ALL! FINALLY, the first song to see the light of day from the sessions we started before the pandemic! We are so incredibly stoked to share our new single “GOOD RUN” with all of you, which is ironically about not planning too far ahead because of the likelihood of human extinction in your lifetime.
I hope you join me in looking forward to more from these sessions in the near future. In the meantime, check out “Good Run” below, and visit the Nervous Triggers Bandcamp or Spotify pages to hear more.
