I made a joke a bit ago: “Maybe at this point we should just put out a daily news item announcing that there isn’t a Guided By Voices album released that very day.”
Sure, this isn’t really a GBV release, but it is Robert Pollard. And while Pollard doesn’t release and album daily, or even monthly… it’s close.
As such, The Grand Rapids EP by Rip Van Winkle (the “(m)ysterious Robert Pollard project” is due out 23 Feb 2023. We don’t know much about it at the moment, but we do have the first single “Prose Kaiser” for you to listen to.
