Vancouver-based, Russian language punk act Russian Tim and Pavel Bures have released a new single, their second of the year. “Zakat” comes on the heels of March’s “Vive Rápido, Muere de Mediana Edad” (more on that last one in a second), both of which follow up the Apr 2022 Split Shmlit with Balkan Schmalkan. All that music and more are available at their Bandcamp page (many of which are also name-your-price), and Spotify.
Regarding the “Vive Rápido, Muere de Mediana Edad” single, RT*PB will be throwing a Spanish-themed/celebration of culture gig this coming Saturday, 15 Apr 2023. I could explain, but instead I’ll just copy/paste from their bandcamp:
Hola! A few months ago while planning the next Pavel Bures show I realized that i wasn’t very excited to just do another show. I came up with the idea that it would be cool to have a theme to the show.
So the theme for our next show on April 15th at Fox Cabaret is celebration of Spanish / Mexican / Hispanic culture. May not be the most unique idea, but it gives many angles for interpretation. Plus I absolutely love Spanish football, wine, punk rock, and festivals. Mexican cuisine is my favourite, and Jorge Campos is probably the coolest player from the 90s.
April 15th! Fox Cabaret! Costumes are welcome and encouraged! Practice your tequila drinking technique and come join us for punk rock fiesta! Gran Exito!
There you have it.
