Well this is a surprise, but a welcome one. New supergroup $$Stars$$, featuring Alex from Chainsaw Beach, Scott and Guillaume from Ten Foot Pole, and Véronique from Hidden Bliss have released their debut single. The track is titled “Before the Weekend” and is out now via People of Punk Rock Records. At first blush it sounds like it mixes the skanky sound of folk/crust punk and melodic punk, but without all of the twangyness. I’m sure this song is going to rile up crowds wherever it is played.
