French-Canadian musician Noé Talbot has released a second volume of punk covers in acoustic style AND translated into French. Reprises Acoustiques Volume Deux (trans.- Acoustic Covers Volume 2) follows up Talbot’s original 2017 album of covers in the same style, except this time around he’s brought along Dominic Pelletier to help out, as well as a few guest musicians.
Acts covered in this volume include No Use For A Name, The Sainte Catherines, and Beach Slang among others. You can listen to their rendition of Blink-182‘s “Dammit” below.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
