Long-running punk act NOFX, who you may or may not know just finished up a massive farewell tour, have a new documentary coming out. Titled 40 Years of Fucking Up, the trailer hints at covering more of the later years of the band’s run, with callbacks and a bit of history thrown in.
Probably more interesting to viewers was whether or not the film would touch upon the recently revealed information that guitarist Eric Melvin served Fat Mike with a lawsuit just hours after their final show regarding financial mismanagement. Well, it appears that does come up. Whether or not a lot of film is spent on the subject, we’ll just have to wait and see. It does appear that Melvin at least provided time to the documentary crew to discuss that, if nothing more.
The documentary premieres with special screenings in March, and full-release expected 10 Apr 2026

the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
