“Odd rock band from Kyoto” ODDLY will be releasing their new album next month. Titled Swerve, it will be the band’s first full-length, and follows their 2021 EP Odd Man Out. It drops on 12 February 2025.
The first pre-release single “Alligator” is now available and, yeah, it’s odd. But pretty damn awesome. The separate sections of the song are different in tone, but still blend well to the pounding beat of the drums. The chorus (if it is such) picks up quick and ends just as quickly.
You can preorder the album on on vinyl (two variants) or digital download from their Bandcamp. Streaming can also be found over at Spotify and, if you’re good with Japanese, they’ve got a web page, too.
