UK’s Pet Needs have released a video for their song “Overcompensating.” That track comes off of their debut LP Fractured Party Music, which was released 12 Mar 2021.
Regarding the track, Johnny Marriott has this to say:
The whole tune was built around the line “we’ll laugh about this one day (separately and at the expense of each other)“” says Johnny. “It then grew into a story about a desperate attempt to prove to people that life is brilliant when in reality we all have rough days and we’re all vulnerable at times. To any old friends who think they may have influenced this song – don’t worry! It’s almost definitely purely fictitious.
The band will also be performing at The Gathering series of one-day festivals this summer, with Frank Turner headlining. You can check out the new video, and those dates, below.
