NYC’s Pons are crafting a story for us with their new album, due out next month, and we have another single to tide us over, “Queen Conch.” The song follows up “Coral King,” both of which come from The Liquid Self, which is due out 06 Oct 2023 via Dedstrange.
It’s a theme album, and the band describes it as “AFTER A TRAGIC SHIPWRECK, A SAILOR IS LOST AT SEA FOR AN UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF TIME. THEY ARE RESCUED BY PURE CHANCE AND RETURN HOME. AND SO OUR STORY BEGINS…”
The elevon-song LP is currently up for preorder on cassette and download at Bandcamp, and you can stream the first two singles, along with more Pons music, at Spotify.
Pons also have a few dates lined up over the coming weeks:
- Sep 08 Alphaville Brooklyn, NY
- Sep 22 Purgatory Brooklyn, NY
- Sep 30 18th Ward Brewing Brooklyn, NY
- Oct 08 The Sultan Room Brooklyn, NY
