TGEFM is stoked to bring you a special video by L.A. punk trio Bad Bruno: a live performance in front of an actual audience (!) where they perform a cover of the Dropkick Murphys song “Walk Away,” off of their 2003 album Blackout.
Freddy Tapia of the band has this to say:
In 499 DAYS, we bring you out of the isolation and into love and care of the people around you. We end the Bad Bruno Bandemic Show with Dropkick Murphys’ “Walk Away.” Be kind to yourself, be kind to others. Peace. Love. Cheers!
So if they’re covering Dropkick, why title the video 499 DAYS? The reason is that was how long it has been since Bad Bruno played before a live audience. In the interim, during the COVID pandemic, the band launched the Bad Bruno Bandemic Show series of performances where, for a majority of the videos, a band member would travel someplace nice and perform an acoustic cover song. They’re a great set of videos and you should really check them out.
But with the Pandemic Show‘s finale, the band comes full circle, playing live in front of actual human beings once again– ending the series with a bang!
Check out the new video below, and under that we’re going to load up Bad Bruno’s links for you visit and show your support!
