The last time TGEFM premiered something for UK pop-punks Big Drink it was a cover song. That’s all well and good (and it was well, and good!), but now we’re really happy to bring you their newest original banger, “Bottle Things Up” and, guess what? It comes with a music video, too!
The new track is equal parts arena-style anthemic pop-punk, stop/start chunka chunkas that would make Helmet proud, and even some more melodic punk up-tempo beats. The video, well it’s like this everyday in my house, so there’s that (not true).
“Bottle Things Up” is an open love letter to that feeling when you’ve lost something big from your life. That feeling of being half awake and yet sleep walking your way through the routine that we all live. Everyone tends to play their cards close to our chest when going through loss and the song is intended to draw a line under the feelings of guilt and sadness when saying goodbye to something special that never was whilst underpinning that with a more hopeful future.
