TGEFM is excited to premiere a new lyric video for Broadcaster’s track “Snow Party!”
“But wait,” you say, “that song is super old!” It’s true, but Broadcaster and Jumpstart Records recently released a pseudo-collection Joyride+3, which features the band’s 2011 EP Joyride, and the three tracks from the 2012 Tightrope Walker 7″, on limited edition vinyl as part of the label’s 25th Anniversary Subscription Club.
The band has this to say:
It’s been over a decade since we wrote and recorded the two EP’s included on Joyride+3 and it’s nice to still feel like they are some of our strongest songs as a band. We tracked Joyride live in our practice space and finished most of the vocals/overdubs in a small room in the apartment where Tom and I were living at the time.
I think there is a bit of rawness to these recordings that really adds to the energy of the songs. We didn’t second guess much at that time. We’d throw a mic in front of an amp and just go. I remember those years as an exciting time for the band, as we began touring more frequently and I’m glad we can finally have these recordings on vinyl to share.
