Last month Denver’s pop-punks Bury Mia took some time to chat with TGEFM as part of our Roll of the Dice Interview Series. Now we are lucky enough to get to premiere the band’s newest track, “A Problem For Tomorrow Me To Figure Out.” This is the first single off the band’s upcoming record, recently recorded at the legendary Blasting Room.
The single comes to us as a slideshow, and continues to show off the band’s pop-punk aptitude while testing out new sonic waters.
“I WANNA TAKE BACK EVERY WORD I SAID!! This song tells the story of being caught in a crashing relationship where you have to be the worst version of yourself to last. Every decision is a mistake before it’s even made, every thought is buried in regret and every fight is leading to an inevitable tipping point. The closest that we’ve dipped into midwest emo as Bury Mia with some pop punk vibes that keep it connected to the rest of our sound.”
Bury Mia also have some local gigs coming up:
7/21 Denver, CO Underground Music Showcase
8/26 Denver, CO Herman’s Hideaway
10/28 Denver, CO Lost Lake

Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
