Have you fallen into a time machine back to the heady days of 70s garage rock? No (although… yeah, that’d be cool). It’s current day and Rochester, NY quartet Checks and Exes are channeling that era with their smooth tunes, sweet lixx, and catchy backing vocals; bringing it kicking and screaming into the 2020s with some modern sensibilities.
And now TGEFM is super-pumped to bring you their new single “You Could Do Better.” It comes to us as a music video which, in its simplicity, lets the talents of the band shine through (check out the great solo and breakdown right about 2m40s). Plus, there’s lyrics so you can sing along, too!
