Premiere: ChumHuffer are “Burning” in our head with new video

TGEFM loves ChumHuffer and what ChumHuffer is doing. So you bet your bottom dollar that we’d jump at the chance to premiere a new single and video from the band a day before the rest of the world gets to hear it.

“Burning” comes from the Slaughterhouse Five EP. It follows the lead track “Slaughterhouse,” and bookends the album as the closing song. The EP is due out 16 May 2025, and will include “(five) hard hitting punk songs that tackle issue like mental illness, in-patient therapy, community and building up a life for yourself.”

Shawn Refuse (vocals) has this to say about “Burning”:

The song is about fighting the loop of insanity, realizing when you’re stuck in the same patterns and the frustration of breaking free. It’s a reflection of personal battles but also speaks to the collective experience of anyone who feels trapped by their circumstances.

I would argue that A LOT of people feel trapped by circumstances lately. So good to have a nice, powerful song to help vent frustrations. Thanks, ChumHuffer!

The EP will be released across on 7″, which you can preorder direct from the ChumHuffer website, or Bandcamp. They are also on Spotify.
