Colorado folk-punk outfit Doom Scroll have a new label home, a new album on the way and today TGEFM is thrilled to premiere the latest look at what’s coming next.
Doom Scroll have signed with Flail Records, joining a roster that includes Bridge City Sinners, Days N Daze and Escape From The Zoo. The label will release the band’s new album, Exhausted Dialogue, on October 6.

Named for the king in Greek mythology condemned to endlessly push a boulder uphill only to watch it roll back down, “Sisyphus” applies that same cycle to the considerably more modern struggle of trying to make a living.
“The song is about being stuck in a Groundhog Day scenario where the monotony and repetition of making a living wage dilutes the feeling of being alive,” the band explains. “Instead of working together, capitalism keeps us separated and forces the poor to live in this awful cycle like Sisyphus.”
The single arrives alongside a significant change for a band that has handled nearly every part of its career independently since forming in 2020.
“Doom Scroll is a band that’s been on our radar for quite a while,” Flail Records says. “For years now they’ve been DIY touring like madmen, relentlessly writing and recording increasingly great records, and maintaining the type of creatively independent ethos that truly sets them apart from other bands.”
“Sisyphus” follows recent singles “The Ravine” and “Zugzwang.” All three appear on the 11-track Exhausted Dialogue, Doom Scroll’s first full-length since Immoral Compass.
The band recorded the album themselves, with Elliot Lozier and Jon Pizarro tracking in their bedrooms before Grammy Award-winning engineer Jason Livermore mixed and mastered the record. Ian Cook of Larry and His Flask also appears on “Horsemen.”
Following the album’s release, Doom Scroll will head back on the road for a run through the Midwest and Southeast, ending with an early show at FEST in Gainesville, Florida.
“Sisyphus” arrives everywhere Tuesday, September 15. Exhausted Dialogue follows October 6 via Flail Records.
