UK alt-rock act Follower could fill an arena with their songs, but today TGEFM brings you their new single AND video “Different Sky” straight to your screen. The band has been steadily releasing singles since their 2020 Against the Ropes EP, and “Different Sky” is their second new track of 2023.
When asked about the song and video, Follower states:
“Different Sky” follows someone stepping away from their day-to-day to get perspective and help reset their life. Actually written when I (Nick) was away on my honeymoon, it sums up that feeling of being stuck on autopilot in your life and then, when you finally get a chance to get away from it all and enjoy yourself, making a point of making the best of that opportunity. You know you can’t stay in that lovely setting forever, but for a brief period everything feels great, a weight off your shoulders, loads to enjoy and appreciate.
So you breathe it all in, take mental photographs of the views and the moments you’re enjoying and remind yourself how good things can feel. You’re the same person in that moment as you are every other day, so it’s about carrying some of that good feeling and that knowledge back with you when you go back to real life and living better for it.
Follower has got more in store for you, including some gigs in the near future. You can find info on those events, and all of the Follower links you need, below.
