OK, I won’t lie: this isn’t an entirely new video, it’s been out a few weeks now, But Johnny Cab have managed to keep it under their caps until the song officially goes live on streaming services tomorrow, 16 Jun 2022.
So what’ve we got for you? A “pseudo” premiere of the video for “Diggin Up Casey Kasem”, a blend of so many different styles: psycho punk, art punk, horror punk (for sure), some nice twang, and a story to tell that is definitely pretty wild.
Chris Indigo, vocals, says:
I’ll never forget how Casey Kasem used to deliver the Top 40 countdown when I was a kid, which got me thinking: do punk rockers ever make the Top 40? With a little bit of nostalgia and dark humor I wrote some lyrics, the band took it from there.
I guess Chris has definitely blown the cover on our ages because, you know what, back in the day I used to think the same thing. Great minds and all that, right?
So check out the video below and, underneath, you can find links to social media and streaming. Also scroll down a bit more for info on the band’s summer tour, starting next week, which sees them visit locations in VA, NC, and SC.
