Ontario punks Holly Acres are back with their first new music since last year’s Past to the Future EP. The band has a new song with “Starting Over” and, even better, it comes with great new music video of the band out and about, playing live and enjoying it. That’s a bit more lighthearted than what the song is actually about, though:
Starting Over” is a song about having to restart from fresh after making such good progress. Whether it be in relationships, personal goals, your career, etc. it’s always tough to have to reset back to default and try again. It can be exhausting especially if you see it coming and can’t face the fact that you’ll have to start over. It’s tough for everyone but we hope this song is also a reminder that once you’ve found that place that makes you happy and comfortable and able to be who you are, to hang onto it so you don’t have to experience starting over again.
I’m always one for wrapping up life’s difficulties in catchy music, though, and Holly Acres pulls that one off in spades!
For now, enjoy the new single and video below, and support Holly Acres by visit their Linktree page and clicking through to all the goodness that lies therein.
