Boston’s The Burning Paris are back and showing no signs of slowing down. Ahead of the new album, Last Leaves (due 5 September), TBP are teaming up with TGEFM to premiere the brand new single “The Advocate.”
Of the single, the band says:
“‘The Advocate’ is about the struggle between life, love, death, grief, loss and the hope of something beyond. We don’t really know what is on the next plane of existence or if there is anything else. The feeling of hoping persists for me. The willingness to understand and to somehow be understood in this life is important, but accepting our reality of being so small in a vast universe is important just as much.”
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
