With the sweetest of bubblegum punk flavors, Norway’s The Hallingtons have released a new single and video, and TGEFM is super-stoked to premiere it for your eyes and ears today!
The track, “Your Boy,” combines the best of treacly pop-punk with catchy melodies, sing-along choruses, and lots of clapping to finish out the song. In the video the band literally bridges the two eras that define “Your Boy,” transitioning back and forth from an Ed Sullivan-esque black and white performance to a more modern, leather-clad experience.
“Your Boy” is off their upcoming, debut LP Hop Til You Drop, which doesn’t have a set release date yet but, per the band, it is expected “soonish.” Drummer Tors Frostelid adds:
The upcoming album will be our first full album, so we are of course very excited about the release. Pressing has been delayed due to covid, but the latest rumours says pressing will now take place during February.
The song is just a simple love song. We added a lot of back ups ad hand claps to give it a 60s pop feel.
TGEFM will get the word to you on when that album’s release date is made available. In the meantime, you can check out the premiere below, and be sure to visit The Halingtons on their Bandcamp page to hear more of their previous singles.
