Premiere: The “Model Prisoner” and The Chandelier Swing

TGEFM enjoyed premiering the last song from St. Louis’ The Chandelier Swing so much that you damn well know we jumped at the opportunity to do it again! Following November’s “Hollow Bones” they bring another banger with “Model Prisoner.” Effortlessly mixing catchy indie-punk with some fast and powerful melodic punk, they bring the best of both worlds into a single package.

“Model Prisoner” is the spiritual sibling of our last song, “Hollow Bones” which was the first release of our single/EP “Couple Songs”. While “Hollow Bones” focused on others moving on without you, “Model Prisoner” is intent on moving past people and places that are unhealthy for you and never looking back. It’s a rally cry of self-affirmation with a catchy-ass chorus and some sick riffs. Stephen Inman absolutely killed it on the video and we could not be more excited to put it out into the world.

The band surely has more great stuff on the way but for now, what better way to launch your weekend?

The Chandelier Swing has a gig lined up in late February, as well. So enjoy the video below and, underneath, find info on the event, along with lotsa links.
