OK, so you may have heard this one before, but not like this. The Readymen have released their track “Betterfastercheaper” in its remastered glory as a visualizer video to highlight the recent release of their Restless album.
The Readymen, out of Eugene, Oregon, were a late-90s/early-00s ska-punk band in the vein of Operation Ivy. After a few years together, the band split, with certain members of band going on to serve in the trenches of Leftover Crack, MDC, Stockyard Stoics, and more.
Their 1998 album Restless was due for an early-aughts reissue on original label Kingpin Records, but the label folded. Flash forward two decades and Jump Start Records is now bringing you this oft-overlookd but influential album, remastered and available in digital and very limited-edition vinyl formats.
Check out the video for “Betterfastercheaper” and, if you dig it, head over to The Readymen Bandcamp, or Jump Start’s webstore, to grab a copy.
