“(T)he world just doesn’t have enough pop punk with breakdowns.”
And with those words St Louis, MO’s Uncanny Valley built their newest single and video “Don’t Look Down.” But do look at your screen because, well, it’s a video and TGEFM is premiering it for you today!
The song is their first new music since a series of singles released in 2022, and, as the tell it:
Last year, we went on our first little tour – which we kinda just decided to name the DEFEND EZ-TOUR for fun. We couldn’t just call it that without backing it up, so we added a couple heavier covers to our set, and broke out some random screams and breakdowns into our originals that are normally what you might call ‘generic pop punk’.
The overwhelming response we had on tour was that the world just doesn’t have enough pop punk with breakdowns. With this new song, “Don’t Look Down” – we really tried to lean into those vibes and honestly, we’ve never had more fun experimenting with our sound.
Uncanny Valley have some gigs coming, including a mini tour at the end of the month, and then opening for Goalkeeper and Floorspace in their hometown. They’ve also got lots of links to support the band and hear more music. Find all of that below.
