Happy Monday, everybody! If your week has started off poorly we’re very sorry about that, so here’s something to cheer you up! We’ve got the newest single and video from NYC’s Warpark! This trio has been a bit mum on the release from for (checks calendar) three years! Wow! But just because they haven’t been doling out the releases doesn’t mean that they haven’t been busy.
Enter “Buried Truths.” This is the first new music from Warpark since the “Slug” single, released on 14 Aug 2020. It comes from their upcoming album All Things Must End, which will be their debut LP, and is expected out this coming Autumn.
The band says about the new song:
This song was written by Simon rather quickly…it was the last song to be tracked, but the first one to be finished. We did a lot of engineering in Upstate New York, and from driving around there listening to the rough recordings, I [Roger] got the idea for the video. I practically had each frame mapped out, and a lot of my vision came to life with working with Zach Cooper. The whole video was shot in a few hours in a state park. The song is a real black sheep relative to the other tunes on the album, but I think the beauty of its natural elements pairs so well with that of the natural world.
