We’re pretty high on The Raging Nathans right now. Our very own Jerred Lazar has had a review of their upcoming album Still Spitting Blood in the can for months now and, frankly, the TGEFM team just can’t wait until it gets to YOUR earholes because, you know, they deserve something nice.
Since we can’t get you that full album yet (out 19 Jan 2023 via Rad Girlfriend Records), we can get you the next best thing: a premiere of the new single “And I Know You Know”!
Bassist Christian Roerig goes into detail on the inspiration for the song:
Once you’ve been to the land of the fakes and phonies, it makes you appreciate the real people in your own hometown. Some people have trouble walking into a room and not changing the social channel to their own show – and more often than not, they don’t care if the attention they receive in the process is good or bad. Sometimes this is a person who has gone so far overboard with their own ego you have to check them. Sometimes you can just look at them and you don’t have to tell them that you know. They know you know. Just chill out and enjoy yourself without bringing some snobby or holier than thou attitude everywhere you go. You’ll live longer.
Still Spitting Blood is available for preorder in yellow or black vinyl at the Rad Girlfriend web store and Bandcamp page. The good people over at UK’s Brassneck Records also have exclusive vinyl variants, as well.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
