TGEFM is over the moon to premiere “I Swear That I,” the new single (and lyric video!) from Québécois acoustic punk XX smile. That’s the nom de plume of Chargez‘s JF Trepanier, who has been dropping acoustic bangers for a while now, including the Hello, well they call me Happy! EP in Jun 2020.
Surprisingly, although this song is new, it isn’t really “new.” As JF explains:
I wrote this song 14 years ago a few days after finding out that I was going to be a father and decided there and then that this would be my oath and my mantra to being a father.
It’s a good mantra for any parent to live, I’d like to think!
