Following up on their recent album …from Sheldon Hall to Wonderland Mall, Big Mess have dropped their latest record “A Big Mess Christmas. TGEFM are totally excited to premiere a festive foray into the band’s oeuvre, the new single “Really Love This Song”.
The band explains:
“They say love conquers all. You can’t start it like a car. You can’t stop it with a gun” wrote Mr. Bad Example, Warren Zevon. I think we are big Zevon guys. I know I am, and I am pretty sure Brad is, too.
“Really Love This Song” is a song about loving someone and all the certainty that comes along with it. “Really Love This Song” is a part of A Big Mess Christmas, which also features a song Brad wrote and recorded in 1982 about love and the certainty that comes along with it.
A Big Mess Christmas” is our second release in as many quarters, following September’s “…from Sheldon Hall to Wonderland Mall”.
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
