Punk Rock Holiday, which has quickly become one of the world’s go-to festivals, has sadly announced that they will be postponing this year’s event due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Per a post on the PRH Facebook page:
With tears in our eyes, we’re forced to make it official and postpone the 10th anniversary edition of Punk Rock Holiday to August 9+10-13 2021.
It’s a devastating thing for PRH and it will probably take years for us to recover as we already invested a lot of money and our lives into promotion and other costs, that will only double in 2021. Only the most heartwarming responses from you – the best audience on the planet – still keep us going and we plan to do everything to keep this ship sailing the positive vibes forever.
PRH adds that they are working with all acts in an attempt to ensure that as much of 2020’s lineup is carried over as possible. Refused, Lagwagon, Bad Religion, Circle Jerks and many more were on deck for this year’s event.
Additionally, 2020 ticket-holders will see their tickets automatically roll over to 2021, and PRH has paired with Ticketswap to help those who can’t commit to 2021 to offload their tickets. PRH will refund any ticket-holders who are unable or unwilling use Ticketswap, but we checked on that and any tickets being made available via Ticketswap seem to be getting snatched up pretty quick.
Lastly, PRH has launched a crowd-funding campaign to defray expenses from this year’s event where you can purchase a goody-bag of PRH swag at different “donation” levels.
