Roll of the Dice: 4 questions with Fake Pollocks

Roll of the Dice is a short interview format with a variable amount of questions. A Pair of dice is rolled and the total, between 2 and 12, is the amount of questions we can ask. All questions are given to the interviewee(s) at once, and no follow-ups are allowed. The interview may be lightly edited for content and clarity.

New York rockers Fake Pollocks released The Flashlight EP late last month. The 4-track EP follows up last year’s “Arm & Argument” single. The band has sat down with TGEFM for a short interview as part of our Roll of the Dice series.

Thank you so much for agreeing to this interview. Congrats on the release of The Flashlight EP. What should TGEFM readers know  about Fake Pollocks and the recording experience on this record?

We wrote and recorded it ourselves on my computer using readily available music software.

Which song off the new record are you most looking forward to playing  live and what can we expect from live a Fake Pollocks performances?

The instrumental for Fake Blood has existed digitally for almost 4 years now so it feels the best to have it played live.

One of our obligatory questions in these interviews also tends to be the one I have found most important on a personal level. Who are some bands on your radar that TGEFM readers may not know about, but you think they should know about?

Skrillex, Dirt Buyer, Elaine the Singer, Skee Mask

Not to put the cart before the horse, but after the release of The Flashlight EP, what is next for the members of Fake Pollocks?

The shade
