New Mexico garage/punk act Scared of Chaka broke up over twenty years ago (minus a one-off 2008 reunion gig), but have reformed for another batch of music. Given, it is only two songs, but we’ll take what we can get.
They’ll be releasing a new 7″ on 08 Sep 2024 via Slovenly Recordings, and have delivered the A-side track “Bated Breath” as the announcement single. “Nobody” will follow as the B-side track. You can preorder the 7″ or digital download at the Slovenly Bandcamp, and hear that new single, twenty-three years in the making, below.
