Santa Cruz’s 80’s hardcore-style quartet Scowl have released a new single from their upcoming album. “Fuck Around” comes off of How Flowers Grow, which is due out 19 Nov 2021 via Flatspot Records. Scowl’s previous album, the Reality After Reality… EP, was released in Nov 2019.
Regarding the super-short (as it should be) song, vocalist Kat says:
This song is so much fun I almost forget what I was trying to say here. But I’m grateful the lyrics are so simple and literal. Sammy jumping in just adds the perfect punch and it just makes me wanna jump around. I’m talking about people thinking outside their idea of what “life should be” and kinda just calling for people to question what the hell they’re actually doing + question why it might be what they’re told.
