Pittsburgh’s Short Fictions have released a new single and video. The track is “Don’t Start a Band,” and is the their first new music since 2019’s Fates Worse than Death LP and, well, humorously(?) tackles all of the negatives of devoting your life to music.
No word on whether or not this is a stand-alone single, or part of a new album to come. However the band is currently schedule for a brief midwest USA tour titled, appropriately, The Don’t Start a Band Tour this coming February.
You can check out those tour dates and the new track below (as a mildly animated video), and visit this link page for all of your streaming or purchase needs.

He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
