Chicago sweeties Sweetie continue their string of new music, which began at the close of 2023 with “Axe to Grind,” their first single since their debut 2020 LP Bad Thing Sweet Thing, with another new song and video “Showgirl.” The song is a very much a hard rock/metal-tinged dirty punk ditty. with vocalist/guitarist Birdy Vee evoking only the best parts of a post-Misfits Glenn Danzig in tone and style.
