Las Vegas ska-(insert genre here) act Skabrones have dropped their second new single. Following their debut track “No Entienden” back in August, the band now delivers “Enfermo,” which translates as “ill” or “sick.”
The band is proving to be a powerhouse of ska and genre-mixing. They refer to themselves as “Desert Skacore-Metal with a Latin twist.” Not really ska-punk because there’s a whole lot more going on style-wise, even within the same song. Reminds me a lot of how frenetic the pre-major label Mr. Bungle stuff was, but more refined and better production. I mean, it’s good.
