100 Words or Less Podcast — Thomas Barnett — Strike Anywhere‘s Thomas Barnett comes on to discuss the origin and reason behind his dreads, the new record Nightmares of the West and the Richmond, VA scene that molded his and the band’s styles.
101 Part-Time Jobs with Giles Bidder — Ep. 51 — Giles is joined by former frontman of Reuben, Jamie Lenman as he prepares for the release of his upcoming solo record King of Clubs. In addition to the new record, the topics range from Jamie being fired from an unpaid internship, his side hustle as an illustrator, releasing his solo debut without any fanfare and medievel reenactments.
High School Never Ends: A Pop-Punk Dad Podcast — Tim Rogner — Tim Rogner of Allister comes aboard with the dads to explain the band’s history, the Chicago punk scene, Tim’s quarantine demos and life on Drive-Thru Records. This episode leads to an in-depth deep-dive into the Allister catalog.
Lead Singer Syndrome with Shane Told — Ep 243 — Aussie frontwoman Bonnie Fraser of Stand Atlantic joins the Silverstein singer for a convo that touches on quarantine, the lack of a sophomore slump on the new record Pink Elephant and selling toe nails at the merch stand.
Note To Scene — Ep. 105 — A deep-dive into the history of Chiodos that covers the downfall of Craig Owens’ post-hardcore dynasty. From breaking the mold with their debut LP All’s Well That Ends Well, to the somehow even beefier Bone Palace Ballet that led to an arena tour with Linkin Park and finally Craig being kicked out of the band and the ensuing flustercuck of a reunion.
Pass-Through Frequencies with Jim Adkins — Ep. 12 — Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) joins Jim as they discuss the latest season of Umbrella Academy, questioning creative choices and the meditative effects of guitar practices.
Talkhouse Podcast – with Bob Mould & Alicia Bognanno of Bully — In this incredible conversation, these two rock and roll powerhowers tackle the record industry in days both old and new, both of their new records, Alicia’s background in record engineering and working at Steve Albini’s studio (where Mould’s new album was recorded), and the ups & downs of being your true, best and most vulnerable self for the audience.
That One Time on Tour – Jim Ruland, long time writer for punk zines like Flipside and Razorcake, joins the show to talk about coauthoring the new Bad Religion biography, Do What You Want: The Story of Bad Religion, coauthoring for other punk legends, and much more!
Turned Out A Punk – Ep. 286 – It’s Sopranos week at TOAP and one of the show’s most stand out stars Drea de Matteo (ily Adriana) joins Damian to add some truths to the long time internet rumors of the actress’s punk days in New York.
Up the Blunx — Predatory — Akhil and Kevin come together to share their opinions and perspectives on the predatory culture of music from Elvis Presley through today. The long history of grown men and significantly younger women touches on Burger Records, Warped Tour not being predatory but not putting a stop to things when dozens of underaged kids were being taken advantage of and the weird creepy guys in the back of a club glaring at the girls in the crowd.
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
