Chris Demakes a Podcast — Ep. 18 — Trever Keith of Face to Face joins Chris to discuss the writing process behind the Face to Face classic “Disconnected.” The duo also chat one another up about their first tour together in 1997, KROQ adding “Disconnected” to its playlist and getting major label reps on board to being part of a “skit” about the real-life consternation the band faced about re-releasing the track on their major label debut. (Chris & Less Than Jake bandmate Matt Yonker recently were involved in TGEFM’s Who’s Zooming Who series available here.)

Diablo’s Den Podcast with Danny Diablo — Corona Chronicles Ep. 12 — Danny (aka Lord Ezec of Skarhead) brings in Toby Morse of H2O but first he speaks to horrocore rapper Insane Poetry. Insane Poetry shares some of the stories of his history as a flag-bearer of the horror-rap genre. Toby comes on to discuss his own podcast, how it came together and where its going from now on.

The MC Lars Podcast — Ep. 104MC Lars and his guest Sole get into it, discussing Sole’s not quite nerd-rap, regardless of the nerdiness inherent to his lyrics. Sole is a co-founder of independent hip-hop label Anticon and he and Lars spend a good amount of time discussing the ups and downs of running their own independent hip-hop labels, permaculture and making Anticon a big name online before social media.

My First Band Podcast — Ep. 83Bob Nanna comes aboard to discuss his legendary career spanning over 25 years. Nanna has been a member of Slap Happy, Friction, Braid, Hey Mercedes, City On Film and now recording under his own name. He goes into stories of signing to Vagrant Records with Hey Mercedes, playing beach volleyball with Propagandhi during his time in Friction, and his pre-Cameo musical endeavor DownWrite with Spitalfield‘s Mark Rose.

On The Upbeat — Ep. 42 — Tahlena Chikami, lead singer of Bite Me Bambi joins Matt and RJ. Tahlena talks about her parent’s influence on her ska fandom, songwriting and the family nature of the historic and still thriving Orange County ska scene.

That One Time On Tour — Ep. 124 — The Bad Religion melody maker Jay Bentley guests with Chris Swinney about cancelling the tour with Alkaline Trio because of COVID, the uselessness of passports in modern age, the pushback of opening for Blink 182, and the way the songwriting approach has changed for Bad Religion at this point in their careers.

This Was The Scene with Mike Doyle — Ep. 110 — Keith Ulrey of Pohgoh is on the Skype with Doyle, talking about his own label New Granada Records, being part of one of the few female fronted emo/indie acts in the 90s, returning after 20 years to record Secret Club with J. Robbins and an absolutely insane story of opening for Jawbreaker on their reunion tour.

Turned Out a Punk with Damian Abraham — Ep. 287 — Sopranos star, screenwriter, and musician Michael Imperioli hops on this week. Obviously, The Sopranos takes up a good amount of the conversation, but the pair discusses everything from his evolution as a fan (or non-fan) of The New York Dolls and punk, making The Basketball Diaries, Writing Summer of Sam, REM, The Smiths and so much more.
