Come to Where I’m From The Joseph Arthur Podcast– Ep. 95 — Harley Flanagan of The Stimulators and The Cro-Mags is the guest on this latest episode. The duo openly discuss which rock stars they first tried which drugs with, the temptation of drug support groups and how being a hardcore staple as a preteen got Harley into whatever clubs he wanted.
Dan O Says So — Ep. 6 — Linh Le, Vietnamese refugee and bassist/vocalist of Bad Cop/Bad Cop joins the pod to discuss the politics behind her music, the importance of voting and the difficulties of releasing an album in the midst of a pandemic.
Going of Track with Benny Horowitz — Ep. 325 — Fat Mike jumps right in with Benny, taking less than five minutes before broaching some risque subjects including Mike’s predilection for pantsing Benny, his BDSM awakening and taking the piss out of Good Charlotte.
The MC Lars Podcast — Ep. 100 — For the 100th episode Lars is joined by MC Chris, one of the other faces on Mt Nerdcore. The duo have been frequent collaborators and also been contentious with one another. The discussion frenetically shifts along the stream of consciousness ranging from Warped Tour experiences, fake tour friends and fatherhood.
One Life One Chance with Toby Morse — Ep. 75 — Toby is joined today by his H2O bandmates; Rusty Pistachio, Adam Blake and Todd Morse. Since all guests have appeared previously the usual introductory topics are skipped in favor of discussing George Floyd, the CoVid-19 lockdown and need to return to touring not just for the bands for the venue employees.
The Peer Pleasure Podcast — July 29, 2020 — Nina Ljeti of Kills Birds joins Dewey to discuss her punk discovery following her father’s heroic escape from Bosnia and the progression it led her down as she discovered her sound used in her own music.
Road to the Skeleton Coast — Ep. 18 — Brendan Kelly is back again to continue discussing the newly released The Lawrence Arms record Skeleton Coast. Kelly explains the importance of making sure the songwriting is tight by ensuring it sounds comparably good on an acoustic guitar and talks about his hesitance to take the critical praise the album receives to heart right now because some albums hit hard at first but quickly fade into oblivion. Outside of the conversations regarding the album Kelly also discusses the way his daughter changes his outlook on the simplest things (and how she was always too smart for his dad jokes).
Washed Up Emo — Ep. 173 — On this week’s installment Tom Mullen released his final interview before the global pandemic shut down a lot of face to face interviews and the levity of the interview shines through. Recorded 1 March, Tom is joined by Alex Dunham of Dischord Records’ Hoover. Alex explains his growing up in Arizona, moving to DC, even having Fugazi crashing at his grandmother’s home.
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
