Indie acts Superchunk and Australia’s Quivers released a surprise digital split today, with each band delivering a cover track. Superchunk takes on Dead Moon‘s “Fire in the Western World,” from that band’s 1992 album Strange Pray Tell. Meanwhile Quivers gives us their rendition “Pass the Hatchet, I Think I’m Goodkind,” originally by Yo La Tengo and off of their 2006 album I’m not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass.
The tracks appear to only be available via streaming services at the moment are available across a range of streaming services, as well as digital download from the Merge Bandcamp or store, all of which can be found via this link page.
